Tui Na Therapy & Somatic Integration
Wind and Water Style Tui Na Therapy
(Qi Gong) Massage
Wind and Water Style Tui Na in the tradition of my mentor Brian O'Dea, and drawing from teachings with Kathleen Davis, and Jason Frye, is a gentle, Tai Chi-inspired Tui Na that brings the lightness of wind and the deep, flowing softness of water to your body and energy.
Using rhythmic, wave-like techniques—intuitive holds, soft rolling touches, flowing movements, and compassionate listening—we restore natural harmony, circulate Qi, release chronic tension, ease pain, and calm the nervous system without force.
Sessions are typically done fully clothed, treating the work as both therapeutic bodywork and a moving form of Qi cultivation. Clients often leave feeling carried by a gentle current: lighter, more mobile, emotionally released, and deeply balanced.
somatic integration sessions
A profound process of unifying the mind, body, and often spirit through conscious awareness, embodied practices, and gentle exploration. It bridges the gap between mental/emotional experiences and physical sensations, allowing unresolved patterns—such as stress, trauma, tension, or emotional holding—to be acknowledged, processed, and released at their root level in the body.
At its core, somatic integration recognizes that the body is not separate from the mind; it stores experiences, memories, and emotions physiologically (e.g., in posture, breath, muscle tension, or nervous system responses). By tuning into interoceptive signals (internal bodily feelings) and proprioceptive awareness (sense of position and movement), individuals cultivate a harmonious relationship between thoughts, feelings, and physical states. This fosters greater self-regulation, emotional resilience, and a felt sense of wholeness—often described as feeling "at home" in one's body.
In our therapeutic blended sessions—this involves:
mindful somatic movement to awaken inner wisdom, release habitual patterns, and restore natural ease.
body-centered touch and techniques to gently discharge held energy, regulate the nervous system, and promote fluid Qi/energy flow.
Integration phase where shifts settle, new coherence emerges, and insights translate into daily life—leading to reduced pain, deeper calm, enhanced mobility, greater relational ease and soulful reconnection with self.
