Harnessing Fire: Catalyzing Change is a somatic movement class exploring the fire element through the lens of Chinese Medicine and the midlife threshold of perimenopause and menopause.
In Chinese Medicine, the Shen — often translated as spirit — is connected to the Heart. During this stage of life, Heart-Fire may show up as physical heat, emotional intensity, or a sharped desire for clarity and change. This class offers a body-based way to work with that intensity, not as something to suppress, but as something that can be listened to, steadied, and transformed.
Through gentle somatic movement inquiry, participants will explore embryological movement patterns and the heart-head axis as pathways for anchoring the Shen, settling the nervous system, and connecting with a more steady internal light.
This class is for people experiencing the midlife threshold of perimenopause and menopause, especially those who are curious about how to meet bodily change through movement, awareness, and embodied inquiry.
Participants can expect an intimate class container with guided somatic movement practices, time for reflection, and space to explore how the fire of this life stage can be worked with in a grounded and supportive way.
