Start a Partnership Inquiry

SomaRoot Center is open to aligned partnerships with organizations, educators, artists, therapists, facilitators, practitioners, and community leaders who want to bring meaningful body-centered work into Chico and the wider North State.

If you want to explore larger collaborations, community programs, grant-supported projects, recurring initiatives, regional offerings, or cross-organizational partnerships, you’re in the right place.

If you already have a one-time class, workshop, support group, or small event and mainly need a space to host it, start with Events & Rentals.

Partnership Possibilities

SomaRoot partnerships may take different forms depending on the purpose, people involved, and community need.

  • Community Care Initiatives

Collaborations may support people moving through grief, burnout, isolation, recovery, identity shifts, family transitions, caregiving, or collective stress.

This may include facilitated circles, support groups, community workshops, trauma-informed movement practices, or restorative spaces for people who need more than information alone.

  • Embodied Arts and Creative Practice

SomaRoot may partner with artists, performers, writers, musicians, theater practitioners, movement facilitators, and creative organizations interested in body-based expression, ritual, storytelling, mask, voice, song, or collaborative art-making.

These offerings may center participation, expression, and creative process rather than performance alone.

  • Somatic Education and Professional Learning

Programs may support therapists, educators, bodyworkers, doulas, nonprofit teams, care providers, and facilitators who want to bring somatic principles into their work.

Topics may include nervous system awareness, embodied communication, trauma-informed practice, practitioner sustainability, group facilitation, or body-based approaches to care.

  • Youth, Family, and Intergenerational Programming

Partnerships may include age-appropriate offerings for youth, teens, families, caregivers, homeschool groups, schools, or community programs.

These offerings would need thoughtful design around safety, consent, developmental appropriateness, and the needs of the group.

  • Regional and Grant-Supported Projects

SomaRoot may be a fit for grant-supported programming, rural community care, public health-adjacent work, or collaborative projects that extend beyond the center itself.

This may include partnerships with nonprofits, schools, cultural organizations, health practitioners, LGBTQIA+ organizations, arts groups, or community coalitions.
